Merrill C. Craig

CRAIG, Merrill C., age 69, beloved husband, father, and grandfather has died. In the evening of Friday, September 30 his spirit left his earthly body. Merrill was a jovial, sociable resident of Riverside and a member The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (the Mormons). Merrill was born to Everett and Nitabelle Craig of Champaign County, May 22, 1942. He joined the military in 1961, the Vietnam years, but served most of the time at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma and also Goose Bay, Labrador. Merrill was married in 1962 to Jaynie Thompson of St. Paris. They have three children all grown and married, eleven grandchildren, a couple of them are serving missions throughout the United States. No great-grandchildren, yet. Merrill spent the effort of his career in the boiler industry and he was greatly intent on making the industry safer and more efficient for the many employees of the power-producing industry. There will be a memorial of Merrill's life at the Church of Jesus Christ on Shull Road at the North end of Huber Heights, Thursday, October 6, 2011 at 5:00 pm. The family requests your attendance but prefers no flowers.M
