Morelock, Melvin C.
Age 74, of Huber Heights, passed away Sunday March 7, 2010. He was born in Dunbar, Virginia May 19, 1935. He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Wanda Morelock; sons: Mark (Lisa), Doug (Mary Carlisle), Kelly (Lauri) and Joseph (Nikki Taylor); daughter: Tami Chapman; Grandchildren: Blake, Alek, Brenden, Austin, Spencer and Katie and step-granddaughter Judith; Brother: Gary (Barbara) Morelock; Sister: Lorene Galloway; Sister-in-law: Patricia Morelock; friends Paul and Craig; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and coworkers. Mel was preceded in death by his brother Gene Morelock; and his parents: Jack & Janie (Tate) Morelock. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 12, at 12:30pm with funeral services beginning at 1:30pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (4104 Needmore Road, Dayton OH 45424). Burial will follow service at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens, Tipp City, OH. We want to express our sincere appreciation to all of our many friends and family for supporting us during this difficult time, and a special thank you to Gary, Lorene, and Jim for your generosity. Mel was a proud and loyal friend of Bill W. for over 15 years. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family to offset burial expenses.
