Melvin L. Bryant
Age 76, of Huber Heights, passed away Thursday, February 24, 2011, at The Hospice of Dayton.
Melvin was preceded in death by his parents, Howard & Rose (Hollar) Bryant; three brothers and two sisters.
Melvin is survived by his wife of the past 53 years, Mary H. (May) Bryant; one son, Robert (Cheridye) Bryant; one daughter, Kelly (Doug) Bailey; two grandchildren, Benjamin & Carrington; two brothers, Kenny & Clifford (Toby) Bryant; one sister, Mildred; seven beloved granddogs; and by his extended family & many good friends.
Melvin was a life-member of the Huber Heights VFW # Post 3283; a member of the American Legion Post # 200; a member of 40&8; the Masonic Lodge in Springfield. He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy having served on the USS Coral Sea and the USS Midway and he retired as a welder and craftsman.
Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 1 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. The family will be receiving family & friends from 4:00 p.m. until time of service.
