Eversole, Melvin, age 90, of Dayton, passed away on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at his residence. Melvin was born in Hazard, KY, the son of Bige & Ellie (Gross) Eversole. He was the last surving sibling of 15 brothers and sisters. He retired from Inland, General Motors. Melvin is survived by his wife of 47 years, Beverly; 9 children, Lottie, Melvin Jr., Sherry, Paul, Jack, Diana, Charleen, Barbara, & Ellen; 16 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews; longtime neighbor and friend, Gary Vickers; and many other family members and friends. Melvin will be missed but will be remembered always as a loving friend, father, and grandfather. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, OH, with Pastor Cecil Wright officiating. Burial will follow at Bearcreek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9 AM until the time of services.
