Melvin Cammon

Melvin "Jackie" Cammon, age 71, of Dayton, formerly of Springfield, passed away April 25, 2024. He was born November 22, 1952 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Melvin and Willie Cammon. In addition to his parents, Melvin was preceded in death by his sister, Pamela Sue Cammon.

Melvin is survived by his children: Jamie Cammon, Melvin Woods III, Quincy Cammon, Donte Cammon, Kevin Cammon; Au'drea Cammon, Donna Cammon, Demarco Cammon, Maleah Crowder and Empress Odom; grandchildren: Quincy Cammon Jr, Jordan Cammon, Cara Cammon, Maggie Loudin, Marley Loudin, Aaliyah Fick, Chase Cammon, James Cammon Jr, Ki'Aira Cammon, Tay'Riah Howard, Tyler Whiteman, Donte Cammon Jr, Mia Dulaney and Suriah Woods; many great-grandchildren; sister, Gloria Jean Henry; brother, John Edward Cammon; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Melvin was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He loved music, cars and driving.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, May 17, 2024 at Dayton National Cemetery, 4400 West Third Street.
