Melody L. Cauley, 85, died October 22, 2023, at Hospice of Dayton with family by her side. At her request, no service will be held.
Melody was born on September 1, 1938 to Veda and William Scholz, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She graduated from Madera High School in 1956.
Through her adult years, Melody raised her children, owned a floral design business, and held many other jobs. She became a health care giver in her 80s and had several clients, even during the COVID-19 pandemic, and as she received chemotherapy treatments for her lung cancer. She enjoyed music, dancing, and her pets. Melody was an active card player and enjoyed playing at the senior center with friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Donna; her sons, John, Paul and Peter; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and many close friends.
