Melissa Victoria Nilson

Nilson, Melissa Victoria, age 26, passed away unexpectedly on February 21, 2014. She was born September 24, 1987 in Dayton, Ohio.
Melissa is survived by her parents, William and Linda Nilson; brothers, Mike and Jon Nilson; son, Brendan Bowling; and her son's father, Brian Bowling. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces, CJ, Kylin, Nick, Lauren, Olivia, Mia, Jaden, Aubrey and Blaze; along with several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
When Melissa was 10 years old, she modeled for Elder-Beerman's for about a year. Melissa took various dance classes starting when she was 4 years old until after she graduated from high school. She became the youngest assistant dance teacher ever to work for the Viki Lynn's dance studio. Melissa is a 2005 graduate of Stebbins High School where she was the yearbook editor in her senior year and had a role in multiple musicals. She then got a degree with Honors from National College, and worked as a Pharmacy Technician for Walgreens.
She was an extremely loving and devoted mother to the love of her life, her 4-year-old son, Brendan.
Visitation will be held on Sunday March 9th, at Newcomer Funeral Home North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Graveside service will be held at Dayton Memorial Park on Monday, March 10th at 10:00 AM.
