Melissa's Life
Thursday afternoon on June 30th 2022, Melissa answered the heavenly call and was surrounded by loved ones. She rejoined her loving parents and sister Carolyn in Heaven.
Melissa was born on January 15th, 1968 to Mary and William Leysath. She graduated from W. E. Stebbins High School in 1985 and furthered her education at RETS Technical School earning her Associates Degree in Medical Coding. Melissa also studied at Franklin University and was formally employed with the City of Dayton as Public Information Assistant.
Melissa was an amazing woman and would give great advice if asked and had a way of articulating her thoughts and opinions. She was never critical of others and would always find the positives in all situations and enjoyed helping people. Melissa was always open to learning new things and was an "amazing" cook. She enjoyed trying new recipes and had the ability to create and make excellent meals. Melissa also loved playing and interacting with her fur baby Peaches. Her memory will live on forever.
Melissa was proceeded in death by her parents William and Mary Louise Leysath and sister Carolyn Leysath. She is survived by her loving and devoted Son, Andre Leysath-Jones, Son in Law, Damian Leysath-Jones, her Fiancé Kenneth Grier and cousins, Darlean Walker, Cynthia Walker and Diann Watson.
Home-going Services will be held on Friday, July 8th, 2022 at Newcomer North, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. Visitation is from 12:30 to 1:30 and services immediately following visitation. Final resting place, Woodland Cemetery, Dayton, Ohio.
