Melissa E. Layman-Baker, age 39, of Dayton, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 24, 2019.
Melissa's grandbaby and kids meant the world to her. She was a wonderful caretaker to her mother, and enjoyed doing so. Melissa had a very big heart, she would do anything in the world for anyone.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Seanna Baker.
Melissa is survived by her children, Taylor Baker, Aubree Baker and Cooper Layman; grandson, Caidan Baker; mother, Beverly Stockton; father, Gregg (Tammy) Layman; siblings, Jeff (Angie) Layman, Dean (Katrina) Layman, Brittney (fiancé Brian Doepel) Layman and Melinda (Kenny) Kemper; grandparents, Glenn & Vee Layman; father of her children, Mike Baker; nephews, Daimen Layman, Isaiah Layman, Xavier Layman, Austin Layman, Collin Layman and Evan Layman; nieces, Deja' Layman, Cici Kemper and Nicole Loring; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends on Monday, March 4, 2019 from 12:30- 2:30 pm at Newcomer South Kettering Chapel. The service will follow at 2:30 pm, with Pastor Brenda Hatley officiating.
