Melda F. Kunkle, age 91 of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013, while surrounded by her family. Melda was born on September 15, 1921 in Johnson County, KY.
Melda is survived by: her sister, Polly Davis, brother, Wallace (Edith) Daniels, daughters: Sue (Ira) Conley and Nancy (Edmond) Romanowski, 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Melda is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Henry G. Kunkle (1911-2005), brother, Harold T. Fyffe (1924-1943) and son, Henry H. Kunkle (1946-2010).
Melda was a longtime member of Crestview Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, playing bingo and babysitting her great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to the staff of Hospice of the Miami Valley for their assistance in providing home health care for Melda.
