Melba Leah Hunt, age 89, of Kettering, OH, past president and curator of the Kettering-Moraine Museum and Historical Society for 35 years, passed away Wednesday May 28, 2014.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Ray Hunt; parents, Louis and Freda Cox Selders; and sisters, Orleta Selders and Wauthina Guthrie. In 1950, Melba moved to Dayton, OH where she met her beloved husband, Richard while both were working at Winter's Bank.
They were married in 1952 and raised 2 children, James Robert Hunt and Lynne Carol Hunt. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Justin, Laurel, and Leah Hunt; great grandson, Alex Hunt; former daughter-in-law, Muriel Hunt; niece, Rhonda Markiecki; and nephew, Randy Guthrie Jr; and the Robert Hunt extended family of Sarasota, FL.
Visitation is Tuesday June 3, 2014 from 6pm to 8pm at the Newcomer Funeral Home (South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
Mass of Christian Burial is Wednesday June 4, 2014 starting at 11am at the Emmanuel Catholic Church, Dayton, OH.
Burial will follow at Davids Cemetery, Dayton, OH.
