Mearl Ray Brown, Sr., age 79 of Nora, Kentucky, passed away Monday, February 15, 2021 at his home in Dayton, Ohio. He was born May 8, 1941 the son of the late Claude and Jewell Brown.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Joyce M. Brown who passed away August 8, 2012; siblings, Dorothy, Ralph, Gladys, Robert, Denton and Thelma.
Mearl Sr. is survived by his children, Teresa Thomas, Mearl Ray Brown, Jr. (Amy) and Jewell Fay (Charlie) Spurgeon (Brown); many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Lucille, Hila, Betty, Roy, Patsy, Criss, Sandra; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Mearl Sr. retired from Randall Textron in Wilmington, Ohio after numerous years of dedicated service.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday, March 1, 2021 from 5-7 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. The state of Ohio is under a mandatory mask order and has required that face masks be worn in all public places.
