Mayra Lourdes Jimenez-Conde-Waymire

Born Lourdes Antonia Jimenez in el campo in the Dominican Republic on November 22nd 1942. Lourdes’ nickname was “Mayra”. She would later change her name legally to Mayra Lourdes. Although she was born on the 22nd of November. Her father did not register her birth certificate until the 25th of November. She would be the first to tell you that she had two birthdays. Living in severe poverty in the Dominican Republic with her mother and grandmother. Mayra went to Puerto Rico in search of a better life. She worked as a waitress to help support her family back home. In true Mayra fashion she was always putting the loved ones in her family first. She met her first husband Tomas Conde in Puerto Rico. They fell deeply in love and Tomas’ work brought them to Dayton, Ohio. Mayra and Tomas had three children. Julio, Jennifer Rocio and Ivan Tomas. They divorced and Mayra found love again with her second husband Roscoe Edward Waymire. Roscoe passed away in the summer of 2024. Mayra was a true lover of people. Family and friends were always welcomed in Mayra’s home. She worked and retired from Kroger. All of her family and Kroger friends will tell you that Mayra was loving, giving, always trying to feed you, always on the phone with someone and for sure always late to any and every appointment she ever had. She is survived by her three children Julio, Jennifer Rocio and Ivan Tomas. Her son-in-law Richard Rumer. Her daughter-in-law Jennifer Conde. Her stepdaughter Montina Waymire. Her grandchildren Justin, Madelyn, Kyle, Samantha, Keith, Addison and Kevin. As well as her great grandchildren Analisa, Leo and Oliver aka lil’ buddy. She will be greatly missed by friends, family and anyone who ever met her. Mother we love and miss you more than you could ever imagine. Our only wish is that you are out of pain and at peace.

Family will receive guests from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm on Friday, February 21, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home, Kettering Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd. Kettering, OH 45439).  A funeral procession will leave the funeral home following the visitation to Calvary Cemetery for a 1:00 pm graveside service.
