May Joan Anderson
M. Joan Anderson (nee Bullock), age 77, formerly of Xenia, passed away Friday, December 3, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was preceded in death by the father of her children, Samuel M. Anderson; brothers, Norman, Bill, and Russell Bullock; sister, Margie Sabee; father, Norman; and mother, Elsie.
Joan is survived by her children, Sandy (Mike) Gillespie, Doug (Teressa) Anderson, Kathy (Dean) Smith, Greg (Corinna) Anderson and Gretchen Mitchell; 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; nephew, Ronnie (Kelly) Bullock; and other nieces; nephews; and friends.
Joan retired from WPAFB after many years of service.
The family will receive friends Monday, December 6, 2010 from 5-8 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). Family and friends are welcome to meet at the funeral home Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 11:00 am to go in procession to Woodland Cemetery for a graveside service at 11:30 am.
Special thanks to the staff at The Hospice of Miami County, including nurse Donna, aides Helen and Robin. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hospice of Miami County or the American Cancer Society.
