On a beautiful Tues morning May 1, 2012, Maxine Rose, 76, of Kettering concluded her life fulfillment of laboring to the necessities of others. It is by the grace of God we encounter those wonderful souls. They will surely be blessed and worthy of our remembrance. Matthew 25:40 states; "The King will reply, 'I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of those brothers of mine, you did for me.'" Born Sept 28, 1935 to the late Sanford "Sandy" Sears and Grace Schweingruber in Corbin KY. A two time cancer survivor she succumbed to illness with her dear twin brother Mike Sears of Kettering by her side. They were preceded in death by a loving sister, Bobbie Joe (James) Koontz of Kettering. Maxine's family relocated to the Dayton area in the late fifty's from their birthplace in Corbin, KY. They owned and operated a thriving Army surplus store in Beavercreek till 1984. Maxine retired to a life of homemaking and serving her late husband Jack H. Rose of Middletown. Married Dec 5, 1959. They enjoyed sports, the outdoors, charities and were active in the Church of God through the years. Maxine is survived by her sons, Sanford K (Linda) White, Robert A. (Elaine) White of Corbin, KY, Dana L (Wendy) Rose and Philip E. Rose of Dayton. Grandchildren, Robert, Cassandra and William (Duke) White, Phillip Jr., Sgt Nathan (101stAA), Deputy Lucas, and Brittney Rose, Joshua, Brian and Christy Stoner and Dr. James Creekmore. Great grandchildren, Troy, Kahlan and Aidan Rose, and Marley Stoner. Great-great grandchild, Kaden Rose. Nephews, Mike (Bronna) Koontz, Det. Brian (Amy) Sears. Special loving niece and friend, Sandra D. Koontz and Gloria (Mike) Barrett. She was preceded in death by her beautiful daughter, Carolyn North of Corbin, KY, sister-in-laws, Sherrie (Mike) Sears and Judy (Mike) Sears, and also a large network of surviving family and friends and all those so dear to her await in Heaven. Mrs. Rose will join her husband at Mt. Zion Shoup Cemetery following the services at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel. The Rev. Darrel Rose presiding. Please donate to The Hospice of Dayton.
