Maxine Lail

Maxine Lail, age 89, of Huber Heights, went home to be with the Lord on October 26, 2023. She was born on June 20, 1934 to the late Ronnie & Ruby Wilkinson.

She graduated early from Stonewall Jackson High School in Charleston, West Virginia. She was recruited out of high school to work at the hospital, which she was very proud of. Maxine married William J. Lail in 1962, while working at the Atlantic Greyhound Credit Union. Soon after, they moved to Huber Heights, Ohio, where they settled and raised a family. She enjoyed working at local fabric stores and sewing for family and friends, and she will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, Maxine was preceded in death by her husband, William J. Lail; her daughter, Sheila Ellis; and her siblings: Paul David Wilkinson, Berman Wilkinson, Ruth Truman, and Lois Whaley.

Left to cherish her memory is her son, Jim Lail (Kristen); son-in-law, Keith Ellis; grandchildren: Tara Bishop (Chad) and Amy Ellis; great-grandchildren: Evan Lozan and Anabelle Lozan; and her sister, Nina Miller; and many extended family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest with her husband.
