Maxine Hatfield, age 82, of Dayton, Ohio, ended her earthly journey to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at Miami Valley Hospital, surrounded by her family.
She was born Monday, October 16, 1939, to Noal Mitchell and Edna Mae Bowman Pigg in Rockcastle County, Kentucky.
Maxine had a love for her children, grandchildren, sewing, quilting, crocheting, embroidery and cooking. You might say she was a domesticated lady. She was of the Baptist faith.
Those left to celebrate her life are her husband, Lee Hatfield; her daughter, Kaye (Paul) Mason, of Orlando, Kentucky; two sons, Larry (Von) Neff of Nicholasville, Kentucky & Steven Neff of Eaton, Ohio; two step-sons, Curt and Jeff Hatfield; ten grandchildren: Brandy, Michael, Matthew, Sara, Ryan, Chelsea, Kaley, Kyley and Stevi; ten great grandchildren, McKinzii, Noah, Bryson, Jude, Elise, Branson, Myla, Maven, Beau and Everett; two sisters, Rachel (Johnnie) King and Sue Barron; and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sons, Keith Mullins and Rodney Neff; and an infant daughter, Majeana Lynn; one grandson, Bryan Mullins; daughter-in-law, Stacy Neff; step-daughter, Bonnie; one sister, Jean Witt; one brother, Noal Pigg, Jr.; and two infant siblings, Woodrow and Sallie.
Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm, on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, where Funeral Services will begin at 1:00pm. Burial will follow at Willow View Cemetery, Dayton.
