Max G. Bernard
June 22, 1939 — August 24, 2015
Max G. Bernard, age 76 of Miamisburg, passed away Monday, August 24, 2015 at Kettering Medical Center. He was born June 22, 1939 in Miamisburg, Ohio the son of Harvey and Lulu Bernard. He retired from Middletown Journal and worked as a Police Officer part time for Miami Township. Max served and was honorably discharged from the Army.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Frank and Henry Hartley, and Don Bernard.
Max is survived by his wife of 54 years, Joan; two nephews, Rod Bernard and Rex (Shannon) Bernard; and a sister-in-law, Mary J. Michaels. He is also survived by numerous family and friends.
A Memorial service will be held Tuesday September 1, 2015 at 6:00 pm with Pastor Stephen Spurgin officiating at First Baptist Church of Miamisburg (323 N, 11th Street, Miamisburg, Ohio 45342). Please visit www.newcomerdayton.com to share a memory in the family guest book.
