Maureen "Tienee Mo" Hamilton, age 73. Our mother, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, Nov 9, 2013 at The Hospice of Dayton surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born in Luton Bedfordshire, UK on Jan 10, 1940 the daughter of Robert and Florrie McElhone.
Survived by her children: Dean Tate of Munich, Germany, Michelle Emmerick of Dayton, OH, Tina Potmesil of La Plata, MD, 2 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
She loved her Yorkshire Terriers, to share stories of family, friends and of her travels across the States, Europe and Australia. She served on board of Women's AGLOW and was a Field Office Secretary for the American Red Cross at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma for over 3 years. She was a volunteer for the Family Support Center at RAF Lakenheath in England for four years, donating over 2,000 hours of her time. During that time she received numerous awards for her work including Volunteer of the Year for 1992, Volunteer Administrator of the Year for 1994 and was the first recipient of the Relocation Volunteer of the Quarter. She was also the recipient of the Angel Award, the highest local award for a United States Air Force volunteer. She became an American citizen in 1999 and resided in Kettering, OH where she volunteered and devoted her time to her church and community.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, Nov 16, 2013 at 12:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439. Friends are welcome to visit one hour prior.
