Maudie Ellen Lawson

Maudie Ellen Lawson, age 87, of Huber Heights, passed away on March 27, 2021. She was born in Menifee County, KY, on August 31, 1933, the daughter of the late Audney and Sarah Jane Sexton.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Omer Lawson; and son, Tony Lawson.

Maudie is survived by her loving children, John (Bonnie) Lawson, Sr., Miachel D. (Claudia) Lawson and Barb Newcomer; grandchildren, John Jr., Jessica and Shannon; great grandchildren, Drew, Johnny III and Joshua; siblings, Virginia, Elizabeth, Tom and Jack; and many other loving family and friends.

Maudie was the Manager of Carriage Hill Country Store for 35 years. She was a member of Bath Presbyterian Church, the Women's Group of the church and other various organizations for many years. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, gardening, mowing, tending to her gardens and staying in touch with friends and family on Facebook. Maudie was a very outgoing spirit and made friends wherever she went. Although she had her stubborn side, she would do anything for those she loved.

Visitation will be held from 12:00pm-1:00pm, on Friday, April 2, 2021, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, where services will begin at 1:00pm with Pastor Emily Haddox officiating. Burial will follow at Valley View Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, contribution may be made to Bath Presbyterian Church, 4545 Bath Rd., Huber Heights, OH 45424.
