Mattie Sproles

Sproles, Mattie, age 85, of Huber Heights, passed away on Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Caresprings of Enon. She was born November 15, 1922 in Knott Co., KY, the daughter of Clinton & Nona (Thomas) Richardson. She was a member of the Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses in Huber Heights for 52 years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Andrew Sproles, son, Jerry Sproles; and her granddaughter, Sheila Sproles. Survivors include her children, Gaynell Armitage of Jamestown, Peggy Kelly of New Philadelphia, OH, Billy Wayne Sproles of Oak Hill, FL, Doug Sproles of Huber Heights, Teresa Sproles of Piqua; sister, Thressia Stamper of Newport Richey, FL; 26 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren. The family would like to give a special thanks to Carespring Nursing Home and their staff for their excellent care over the past year. A Memorial service will be held at 3 PM on Saturday, September 20,2008 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 4620 US Rt. 40, Tipp City, OH 45371. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to Hospice of Dayton.
