Matthew Howard Garrison, age 29 of Beavercreek, OH passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 26, 2017 as a result of a car accident. He was born March 9, 1988 in Dayton, Ohio to Timothy and Debra (McKinniss) Garrison.
Matt loved sharing his life with his soul mate Samantha Lake and their two dogs BBQ (Que) and Taco. He had recently started a new career in Healthcare with Evokes after graduating with his Master's Degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science. Matt was a passionate and dedicated coach, inspiring leader, adventurous cook, loving son, brother, and cherished friend to many. His keen ability to put a genuine smile on anyone and everyone's face will be deeply missed.
Matt is survived by his parents; a brother, Lyle Garrison; a sister, Kassidy Garrison; his uncle and "brother", Nicholas Garrison; paternal grandfather, Michael Garrison; maternal grandmother, Betty McKinniss; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and football family. He was preceded in death by paternal grandmother, Frieda Garrison; maternal grandfather, Wayne McKinniss, Sr.; and uncle, Mitchell McKinniss.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Helen's Catholic Church, 5100 Burkhardt Road, Dayton, OH 45431. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 1, 2017 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH 45432. .
