Matthew Lyle Conley

Matthew Lyle Conley (Matt), 20, passed away on February 24, 2025, in Dayton, Ohio. Born on July 20, 2004, in Kettering, Ohio, Matt brought joy and laughter to those around him throughout his life. 

A 2023 graduate of Carroll High School, Matt was in the midst of his apprenticeship to become an electrician as a proud member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). He was dedicated to his craft and excited about building a future in the trade. 

Matt had a deep love for music and was an avid fan of the Detroit Lions. He cherished time spent with family and friends, always striving to bring happiness to those around him. His humor and kindness left a lasting impact on everyone he met. 

He is survived by his parents, Jason and Melissa Conley; his brothers, AJ and Zac Conley; his grandparents, Diane Gibson, Jim Fletcher, Anna and Garry Neimic, and Lyle and Melody Conley; as well as his aunts and uncles Lindsey (Wes) Perkins, Ryan (Cheryl) Gibson, Amy (JB) Niedzwiecki, and Jenny Conley. He also leaves behind numerous cousins who will miss him dearly. Matt was preceded in death by his grandfather, Steve Gibson. 

A viewing will be held on Thursday, March 6, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, Ohio 45424. A memorial service will follow at the same location from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM. 

Matt's warmth and laughter will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.
