Matthew Allan Clabaugh

Matthew Allan Clabaugh, age 40, of Bellbrook, Ohio passed away on Thursday, February 28, 2019 in Dayton, Ohio. He was born in Springfield, Ohio on June 22, 1978 to Michael and Rebecca (Dorrough) Clabaugh.

He graduated from Tecumseh High School where he was a proud member of the ROTC. He was married to Jolene (Lambert) Clabaugh on October 13, 2001. Most of his adult life, Matt was a General Manager for Taco Bell. He currently worked for Synchrony Bank as a Collection Specialist. Matt was an avid Disney fan who loved to travel to Disney World. He was a "foodie" who would try out any restaurant or any type of cuisine. Matt was a lifetime Browns fan. Nothing was more important to Matt than his family, including his fur babies, Nala and Musketeer. He was proud to have his CCW license and enjoyed going to the range.

Matthew is survived by his wife, Jolene (Lambert) Clabaugh of Bellbrook, OH; father, Michael A. Clabaugh; beloved nephew, Spencer Clabaugh and beloved niece, Darrah Clabaugh who were his whole heart; aunt, Vikki (Rick) Heil; uncles, Dave Dorrough and Dan (Ruth) Dorrough; cousin, Steve (Shannon) Heil; mother-in-law, Mary Lambert; brother-in-law, Earl Tackett; step-brother, Brian (Michelle) Foster and their children, Daniel and Josh; a host of other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Diment; sister, Amanda Clabaugh-Tackett; step-mother, Linda Clabaugh; maternal grandmother and grandfather, Julia and Bruce Darrough; paternal grandmother and grandfather, Joyce and Donald Clabaugh; adored pets, Buffy, Bashful and Spike.

Friends and family are invited to attend Matt's funeral service on Monday, March 11, 2019 at 5 p.m. at Newcomer South Dayton Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, Ohio 45439, where public visitation will follow from 6-8 p.m.
