Marye Michos Hughes

HUGHES, Marye Michos
age 91, of Dayton, Ohio, died peacefully on Monday, July 3, 2006, at Liberty Nursing Center in Washington Township. Marye was born in Toledo, Ohio on December 18, 1914, the daughter of James Michos and Maude Finch Michos. Preceded in death be her husband, Charles David Hughes, she is survived by her son, James Michos Hughes of Dayton, and his wife Betsy; two grandchildren, Betsy Hilles Hughes and Lawrence Bradfield Hughes; and four great-grandchildren, Jasmine Emad Al-Masri, Adam Emad Al-Masri, Matthew David Hughes, and Helen Marye Hughes. Marye grew up in Ohio hotels managed by her father. She coordinated conventions of the National Bus Association in Washington, D.C. Marye was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and its Circle Four, as well as a participant in PEO Chapter Z. A Memorial Celebration of Marye's life will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Dayton on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marye's name to Westminster Presbyterian Church of Dayton.
