Mary E. Younger

Mary E. Younger, age 95, passed away peacefully at Hospice of Dayton on November 6, 2022. She was born in Marshall, Missouri on March 27, 1927 to the late Joel and Mary Scott.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Thomas Younger, born on July 14, 1958 and died July 15, 1958; her husband, Robert J. Younger and her brother, Joel E. Scott. She is survived by two siblings, Marjorie Young of Jefferson City, Missouri and Milton Scott of Troy, Ohio.
Mary attended Fair Play Elementary School, Marshall High School and graduated from Missouri Valley College, Marshall, Missouri in 1948. She was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church at Marshall Junction, Missouri.
She married Robert in 1949 and they lived in New Orleans, Louisiana and Bakersfield, California before settling in Dayton, Ohio. She was employed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base where she retired in 1993.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
Visitation will be held 4pm to 5pm on Monday, December 12, 2022 with a memorial services immediately following, all at Newcomer Funeral Home Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Kettering, OH 45439.
