Mary A. Woods, age 86 of Huber Heights, passed away February 2, 2021 at her home. She was born February 19, 1934 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Michael R. and Mary H. Hackworth. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Mary Ann Kennon; brother, Richard Hackworth; and sister, Nancy Hackworth.
Mary is survived by her children: Terry (Pam) Woods, Cindy Kennon, Doug (Jackie) Woods and Donna (Rex) Hicks; 9 grandchildren: Nicole, Emily, Jason, Jameson, David, AmyRuth, Nathan, Matthew and Melissa; 21 great-grandchildren; sister, Peggy (Arlen) Bockhorn; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and neighbors, including her very special group of friends.
Mary was a 1952 graduate of Stivers High School. She retired from Dayton Children's Medical Center in 1996, after more than 25 years of service. Mary enjoyed her time volunteering in the library at Weisenborn Junior High School.
The family is planning a celebration of life service at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road.
