Mary Ellen Wesselman, 86, of Kettering, OH passed away at Hospice of Dayton on Monday August 8, 2011. She was born on June 27, 1925. She was preceded in death by her husband, Art Wesselman; and 5 brothers, Elmer "June", Arthur "Red", Bob, Howard, and Bill. Their father was the founder of Kramer's Party Supply. Mary is survived by her stepchildren, Judith Knapp and Art Wesselman; her sister-in-law, Shirley (Charles McKracken); and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends. Mary served the Lord as Sister John Magdelan, with the Sisters of Saint Frances, in her early convent teaching years. She retained those friendships and made many more friends while working at McAlpins and being involved in Saint James Parish in Cincinnati. Mary has lived with family in Dayton the past 2 years. She will be remembered as a fun, loving, and sweet woman. She enjoyed the Reds, "gambling," cards, Bingo, the flower garden, and the birds and "critters." All enjoyed Mary's storytelling.
Visitation is Friday August 12, 2011 from 9:15am to 10am with Mass of Christian Burial starting at 10am at the Holy Angels Catholic Church, 1322 Brown St., Dayton, OH.
Burial is in Calvary Cemetery.
