Mary Louise "Lulu" Thompson (Shannon), 79, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2016. She was born in Sunbright, TN to Earl Preston Shannon and Mary Frances Shannon Belcher (Freels) on February 14, 1937.
Mary was a retiree of General Motors.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Tony and Steve; grandson, Josh; and two brothers, Kermit and Jimmy.
She is survived by son, Rusty (Sherri); two brothers: Roddy and Bill; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held Monday, November 28, 2016 from 12:30 - 1:30 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton. Funeral services will begin at 1:30 pm with Pastor Kenneth Toth officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
