Mary A. Sites

June 24, 1955 — December 10, 2020

Mary A. Sites "Sam", age 65, of Dayton passed away December 10, 2020.

She was born June 24, 1955 in Dayton, Ohio. Sam met the love of her life, Gary in 1976 and they married shortly thereafter. They recently celebrated their 44th year of marriage. She was a longtime member of Northridge Freewill Baptist Church, and was a member of the singing groups "The River of Life Trio" and "The Pachmayers". Sam started her career in 1995 at Chrysler, Diamler-Chrysler, and Behr, before retiring from Mahle in 2019 after 24 years of service.

Sam was preceded in death by her first born infant son, Adam, her father, Joseph Pachmayer, step-father, Delbert Fielder, sisters, Deborah Vermillion and Pamela Watson.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, Gary; her children, Virginia "Ginny" (Eric) Cox, Dustin "Dusty" (Jennifer) Sites, Jamie (Krezsensia) Sites, Ashley (Will) Smith; grandchildren, Cody, Kyleigh, Greg "JC", Becca, Maddox, Mickayla, and Teagan. She is also survived by her mother, Mary Jo Fielder; her brother, Ralph Pachmayer; sisters, Sandi Mercer, Sherrie Brackney, and Pattie Guntle; her extended siblings, Larry (Kelly) Sites, and Dennis (Joanna) Sites; her special friends, Cheryl Peters and Carol Dunn-Hamm, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.

Sam loved being with and bragging about her husband, children and grandchildren. Most of all she loved being with Gary. She took many vacations with her family to NY, Gatlinburg, and Folly Beach, SC. She enjoyed cooking and sharing her recipes with family and friends. A few of Sam's favorite recipes are: deviled eggs, peanut butter and chocolate fudge, no bake cookies, banana pudding, and green beans (which Teagan was "made" of!). She had a passion for writing and singing gospel music. Sam had a heart of gold and was always the first there with a helping hand. She loved to watch Gary and her son, Jamie race at KilKare. Sam also enjoyed watching TV while brushing hair and tickling feet with Ginny. Ashley and Sam pampered themselves routinely at the nail salon, and enjoyed their Sunday dinners with the hubbies and the fur babies. Sam taught Dusty computer basics which helped lead him to his career, and enjoyed her Sunday afternoon talks with him when he moved to NY.
