Mary Ellen Sharp

Mary Ellen (Erickson) Sharp, age 80, of Havelock, NC passed peacefully August 30, 2022. Mary was born to the late parents Ernest and Josephine (O'Neil) Erickson of Stewartville, Minnesota. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Harris; brother-in-law, CC Harris; and sister-in-law, Cathy Erickson.

Mary was survived by her only son, "K.B" Kevin Sharp (Katrina Kirby). She was a "Granny" to Shawn, Wyatt, and Morgan Sharp and Katelyn (Heath) Prewitt, and a great granny to Chloe Prewitt. Mary was the loving sister to Eric Edward Erickson and John Joseph Erickson (Barbara). She was a cherished aunt to Dennie Harris, Keith (Minako) Erickson, Sharon Black (Mark), Patrick Erickson, and Jonathan Erickson, as well as a great aunt to many. Mary made lifelong friends, she was preceded in death by her friend, Jean Ramsey and survived by Ann Chapman.

Mary retired from Walmart where she worked in Havelock, New Bern, and Morehead City, NC. Mary enjoyed working as a Department Manager there for many years. Mary loved animals, especially loved her two cats.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, September 4, 2022 from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm with a service following at 4:00 pm at Newcomer North Dayton Chapel.
