Mary Jane Sallee

Mary Jane Sallee, 95, of Dayton, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Saturday evening, December 9, 2023. Mary was born July 21, 1928 to the late Ernest and Elsie (Ullmer) Poffenberger.

Mary was the most loving and devoted wife/mother/grandmother to all her family. Always smiling and living each day with a grateful heart. Mary will be dearly missed by all the lives she touched.

In addition to her parents, Mary was also preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, G.B. Sallee; son, Bruce Sallee; daughter, Kathleen Fletcher; grandsons, Jesse Fletcher, DJ Fletcher, and Phillip Wilson; son-in-law, Robert Flippo, in-laws, Kelly and Alice (Pennington) Sallee; 11 brothers and sisters, and many other relatives.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Harold) Marlow, Rebecca Wilson, and Mary Flippo; sons, Gary (Pam) Sallee, Timothy Sallee, and Mark Sallee; son-in-law, David Fletcher; 26 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, 28 great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Dorothy Poffenberger; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 am -10:30 am on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 10:30 am and will be officiated by Mary's nephew, Rev. Ronnie Sallee. Burial will follow at Bearcreek Cemetery, Trotwood, Ohio.
