Mary Roper
Mary Elizabeth Roper, age 61, of Dayton, passed away on Wednesday May 25, 2011. She was born on July 22, 1949 in Harlan County, KY, to the late William and Jacqueline Roper. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Charlie Roper; two sisters, Linda Markel and Gail Crowder.
Mary is survived by her daughter Jackie (John) Collins; one granddaughter, Kaitlin Collins; grandson, John W. Collins; special friend Brenda Bradford; numerous nieces and nephews and many other family members and good friends.
One of Mary's great qualities was her sense of giving. She was an extremely caring person.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday May 31, 2011 at 7:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Rd, where the family will receive friends for two hours prior, from 5:00-7:00 pm.
