Mary Rita Siewe

Mary Rita died peacefully on February 6th, 2010 ending 91 years of a happy and celebrated life. Born January 29, 1919 in Covington, Kentucky, she considered her life blessed because of her Catholic faith and the love of her family. Throughout her long life, she shared her wit, musical and artistic talents with Irish charm and grace. Mary Rita was preceded in death by her husband, Albert G. Siewe, brother Charles M. Barnes, and sister Anna Leah McMann. She is survived by her seven children; Al (Liz), Mary Ann Dudzinski (Art), Jim (Cathy), Ruth Apolito, Steve (Suzy), Dave (Ian), and Bill (Sheila); nephew Mike McMann; eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. The family expresses sincere thanks to the staffs of Walnut Creek Nursing Center and Hospice of Dayton for the kind and professional care provided to Mary Rita. Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the St. Vincent De Paul Society, St. Jude Children's Hospital, or Hospice of Dayton.
