Mary P. Owens, age 59 of Dayton, Ohio passed away July 2, 2022. She was born July 31, 1962 in San Mateo, California daughter of Robert and Patricia Haag.
Mary was a devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was well loved by others and was often referred to as Saint Mary. Mary loved being outdoors, going to the beach, vacationing, and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Haag.
Mary is survived by her husband of 39 years, Chris Owens; son, Ross (Erin) Owens; step-daughters, Mindy (Moses) Canizo and Sara (Jeff) McGrew; grandsons, Christopher and Jacob Owens; father, Robert Haag; brothers, Mark (Cindy) Haag and Raymond Haag; sister, Joyce (Charles) Chastain; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
A visitation will be held on Friday, July 15, 2022 from 6-7pm at Newcomer Funeral Home. A memorial service will begin at 7pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Mary's honor to the American Cancer Society.
