Mary Louise Miller, age 87 of Tipp City, Ohio, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 at SpringMead Health Center. She was born January 7, 1934 in Huntington, West Virginia to the late Reuben and Elsie Blake.
Mary was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother with a fierce love for her family. She gave selflessly of herself to others and to the church. While living in Columbus, she and Carl worked tirelessly at the Columbus Baptist Temple on Cleveland Avenue. There, she worked as a Sunday School teacher and for the Church Bus Ministry. Mary and Carl were also church planters who helped start the Anchor Baptist Church and Westland Baptist Temple in Columbus, just to name a few. While living in Troy, Ohio, she attended the Vandalia Baptist Temple. Mary will be remembered for her selfless and giving heart and will be dearly missed by her family and all whose lives she has touched.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Carl; daughter, Brenda Kennedy; and eight siblings.
Mary will be missed by her loving daughter, Carlene (Tim) McNamara; grandchildren, Angela (Jim) Rinaldi, Beth Reiter, Erin (Jason) Turner, Lisa (Matthew) Majesky, Vickie Miller, Hailey McNamara, TJ McNamara and Elaina McNamara; 13 great grandchildren; and eight great-great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Private burial will be held at Green Lawn Cemetery, Columbus, Ohio.
