Mary F. Mcelroy

Mary Frances McElroy was born on March 1, 1936 in Farrell, Alabama to the late Harvey Sr. and Cornelia McElroy. She went home to be with the LORD on Friday, March 15, 2019. She was proceeded in death by her parents and brother George McElroy. She leaves to cherish her memories 3 children, Don McElroy (Judy), Weontah McElroy-Williams and Ron McElroy (Laticha). Special grandsons, Greg Brady and Dontay Williams, numerous grandchildren, great grand, great-great grand children and adopted children. Siblings Clara Stallings (Perry), Bessie Jones (Austin), Alphafretta Qualls (James), Gloria Smith, Joe McElroy (Rosa), Jason McElroy (Ann), Harvey McElroy Jr. & numerous other relatives and friends.

After relocating to Dayton, OH, thru her employment with Dayton Public Schools and Montgomery County Juvenile Court, she developed a love and compassion for helping kids. She later went to work for the VA Medical Center. She loved to cook and always had cakes, pies, and a meal ready for the many kids and friends that would stop by daily. A faithful servant of the Lord, Mary was a cherished and beloved member of Rock Hill Missionary Baptist Church, where she served in many capacities.

She was a friend, helper and prayer warrior to many!
She has so many adopted children.

Celebration of Life service 11am Thursday, March 21, 2019 at Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church, 5301 Olive Road, Trotwood, OH. Visitation 10-11am.
