Mary Margaretta "Greta" DeHart, age 85 of Dayton, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2011.
She was born February 21, 1926 in Spencer, Indiana to the late William & Kathryn Thomas.
Greta was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Finney Britt; husband Paul DeHart; and son, Larry Britt.
She is survived by her children, Finney Britt, Cherie (Steven) Craig, and Jeannie Hilton; step-children, Eddie (Diane) DeHart, David (Leslie) DeHart, Jayna (Fred) Hoppel, Jimmy (Jeannie) DeHart, and Susan DeHart; 5 grandchildren, 9 step-grandchildren; special niece, Kathy (Barry) Swearingen; and many other relatives and friends.
Greta worked for NCR for many years, where she retired.
The family will receive friends Friday, July 1, 2011 from 10-11AM at Newcomer Funeral Home South Chapel (3940 Kettering Blvd, Kettering, OH 45439). The service will follow at 11AM, with Rev. Dr. Julia Wharff Piermont officiating. Burial will be at Miami Valley Memory Gardens.
Donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice (5955 Rand Blvd, Sarasota, FL 34238) or Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (3481 Office Park Dr., Ste. 120, Dayton, OH 45439).
