CHILL, Mary Madalyn
age 74 of Kettering passed away Thursday, July 27, 2006. Mary was a loving sister, aunt, friend, and grandmother to 12 spiritual grandchildren. Mary was born in Bellevue, Ohio and was a graduate of St. Paul's in Norwalk, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her father, August F. Chill and her mother, Viola (Byers) Chill; as well as her 3 brothers, Allan, August G., and Carlton Chill; and her 2 sisters Norene Hall and Clara Murray. She is survived by her three sisters, Ada (Rolland) Kastor of Fremont, OH, Renada (Wilmer) Edwards of Oberin, OH, and Charlene Robinson of Clyde, OH, as well as several nieces and nephews and twelve spiritual grandchildren, Allen, Mandi, Nathan, Grace, Anna, Raymond, Elizabeth, Maria, Ben, Rita, Joseph, and David. She was a parishioner at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Dayton. She was a graduate of Wright State University with both her B.A. and her M.B.A. in education. She taught over 30 years. First at St. Mary's in Clyde, OH and St. Joseph's in Fremont, OH, Tipp City, and then within the Dayton school system. She was a devoted teacher, friend, and within the last 15 years of her life she adopted twelve spiritual grandchildren who she lavished with love, sacrifices and many prayers. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 2, 2006 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 411 East Second Street.
