Mary Louise "Gongong" Miller, age 85, of Beavercreek, passed away September 4, 2024. Mary was born in Pine Bluff, Arkansas on June 19, 1939.
Mary is preceded in death by her adoptive parents; Howard and Margaret Houghton and her husband of 54 years, Gerald O. Miller Sr.
She is survived by son, Gerald O. (Janice) Miller, Jr.; daughter, Joy (Steve) Romage; grandchildren, Justin (Renee) Miller, Melissa (Michael) Brown, Michelle (Ryan) Holeton and Christina (Diego) Romo; great-grandchildren, Perry, Layne, Zoe Jane, Emery, Josiah, Jaxon, Quinten, Bodhi and Jensen; sister, Marti (Gary) Staton; numerous nieces, nephews family members and friends.
Mary was a homemaker for most of her life. She was a seamstress, painter and storyteller. Mary and her daughter owned a small craft store, Peppermint Tree Boutique in West Carrollton, Ohio. She was an active member of many churches, being an Air Force wife.
In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mary's memory to Hospice of Dayton (324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton).
Celebration of life will be held at 4:00pm on Friday, September 6, 2024 at First Church of Christ (441 Ledbetter Rd., Xenia).
Mary will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton.
