Mary Lou Lecato

Mary Lou Smiley Lecato departed this Life on August 5, 2016 at Shiloh Springs Nursing Facility. Preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Ada Smiley and her husband, George Lecato. She was baptized at an early age at Briar Hill Baptist Church in Matthews, AL.

She leaves to rejoice in her new life: 2 daughters, Rosemary Hood and Louise Wilson; son-in law Ronald Wilson Sr.; son, Henry A. (Patricia) Gilmer, 7 grandchildren: Samantha (Wayne) Lowery, Keri S. Hood, Ronald K. Wilson Jr., Alvin (Marleny) Wilson, Latisha (Anthony) Williamson, Jeremy Gilmer and Troy Gilmer; 15 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Carrie Rouse (New York) and Ada Morton (Detroit); 2 brothers, Roosevelt (Connie) Robinson (New York) and Richard (Mary) Smiley (Detroit) and a hosts of nieces, nephews, friends and cousins.

Visitation will be held from 10-11 am on Friday, August 12, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, followed by a funeral service at 11 am.
