Mary Lou Cox

Cox, Mary Lou age 80 of Kettering, passed away Friday, September 28, 2007 at Hospice of Dayton. She was preceded in death by her husband Bill Robertson Cox. She is survived by her son James and wife Dianna Cox and her daughter Lizabeth Cox; grandchildren Krista, Jennifer (Meares), Matthew and Stephanie; brothers David Pratt of FL and Donald Pratt of Cincinnati; sister Doris (Edgar) Wilkinson of Cincinnati; sister-in-law Norma Schade of CO, Lorene Pratt of CA and Fritzi Ober of IN and a host of other relatives and friends. Mary Lou retired from Ray W. Pratt Specialty Tool Company as the office manager for over 40 years. She was a long time member of the Centerville Mother's Club and a member of Normandy United Methodist Church. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, jazz and classical music and she supported the Dayton area arts and theatre. She took care of numerous animals for her husband Bill and was very generous with her time and money to help others. She had a very dry wit and always loved a good mystery. She was a loving mother, grandmother and a dear friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Newcomer Funeral Home 3940 Kettering Blvd. Family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until time of service. Interment at Centerville Cemetery.
