Mary L. Emmons, age 84 of Kettering, reunited with her husband, James R. Emmons I, on Tuesday, November 25, 2014. She was born March 16, 1930 in Huntington, W.VA. to the late Carl and Nettie Hardesty. Mary was preceded in death by her son, Danny Ledford and brother, Billy Ray Hardesty.
She is survived by her children, Deborah K. Emmons, James R. (Lisa) Emmons II, and Marlene M. (Jim) Ferry; grandchildren, Cortnie Gross, Ashlee Ferry, Heather Gross, Arica (Chris) Strike; great-grandchildren, Tyler Gross, Kaiah Ferry, Alexander Reynolds, Kailyn Strike and Kaidence Strike.
Mary operated and owned her own business, Emmons Bellbrook Donut Shoppe in Bellbrook.
She had such an impact on everyone she met and was "mamaw" to all those who knew her. Mary was a beloved mother, grandmother and friend and will be dearly missed.
