Mary Knowles

Mary Knowles Oct 23 1934 -July 13, 2014

Born in Williamsburg Kentucky, living the majority of her life in Dayton, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband Barney Knowles and youngest son, David Knowles.

Mary passed away Sunday, July 13 in the early morning hours at home with her family. She is survived by daughter, Shirley Ramey, sons Karl, Kelly and Tony Knowles, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mom loved her kids and grandkids. She was not someone who could show affection in the traditional ways, but she loved just the same. She was very tender hearted and sentimental.

She loved Cheeze-its, Bob Segar and coconut, but probably not in that order. She enjoyed, to her sons' horror, thrift stores, loving a good bargain.

Mom was not religious, but she wanted her Bible near her when she went to sleep.

We are very sad to lose mom but we take great comfort that she was at home with her family when she passed, she did not linger, she was not with strangers, she went in her sleep, unafraid, unaware this was the last breath, the last heartbeat. She is no longer suffering, but asleep awaiting a better life. We love her and will miss her greatly.
