Age 78, of Dayton, loving wife and mother, passed away Monday, November 13, at 1:03 a.m. at Sycamore Life Care Hospital of Dayton.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Amanda Hamm; sister, Inez Bosart; and brother, James Hamm.
Mary was born May 11, 1928 in Washington Court House, Ohio. She grew up in Urbana but spent most of her adult life in Springfield and Dayton. Mary was a member of the Church of God.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Wilbur (Bill) Strutt, and daughter, Cathy. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Jean Hamm and brother-in-law, Milton Roberts, several nieces and nephews, including special niece, Pat Dixon.
The family will be receiving friends from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Libby Martin of the Christian Life Center officiating. Family and friends will meet at 3:30 p.m., Thursday for committal services at Bethel Cemetery in Pike County, Ohio.
