Mary K. Mcclelland

MCCLELLAND, Mary K., age 64, of Dayton, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2010. She was born October 1, 1945 in Portsmouth, Ohio. Mary worked for 35 years with Montgomery County Children Services serving the needs of the children of Montgomery County. She was named Social Worker of the Year in 1998. Mary graduated from Ohio University in 1967 with a Bachelors' Degree in Journalism and graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1986 with a Masters of Social Work Degree. She enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, and collecting giraffe figurines. Mary is survived by her husband of 33 years, Kent McClelland; son, Justin McClelland; sister, Marlene (Kenneth) Osborne; brother, William (Pat) Bihl; and numerous nieces, nephews, and special pets. She was preceded in death by both parents, William and Elizabeth (McGuire) Bihl; two sisters, Sharon Dillow and Jean Schearer.
