Mary Jo Jones

Mary Jo "M.J." Jones, age 55, of Dayton, passed away on January 20, 2021. She was born in Dayton, Ohio, on May 10, 1965, the daughter of the late Zane Simpson and Patricia Patrick.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Paul Douglas Combs; and her step-father, Dick Patrick.

M.J. is survived by her loving children; Shelton Jones, Casey Simpson, Ashley (Daniel Mitchell) Shelby, Bree Carpenter and Kourtni Shelby; grandchildren, Azerion Parks, Aubree Anderson, Laila Mitchell, Kyliee Jones, Kaysen Jones, Colton Jones, Carston Jones, and Darren Stevens ; siblings, Diana (Steve) Fast,Van Simpson, Jeff Simpson, William "Billy" Simpson, Melissa "Missy" Simpson and Robin (Joey Powell) Simpson; dear friends, Sissy, Tommy, Loretta, Kenny; her fur baby, Outlaw; and many other loving family and friends.

In her free time, she enjoyed spending time with friends at Chris's Bandbox and Connell's Bar, playing the lottery, coloring and watching her favorite TV shows. M.J. had such an outgoing personality, she never met a stranger and was always friendly with everyone she met.

Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am, on Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton, where services will begin at 11:00am.
