Mary J. Prater (nee: Johnson)
Age 82 of Dayton went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 28, 2012.
Mary was born on October 25, 1929 in Menifee County, Kentucky.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; and two daughters, Dale Gray and Marcia Manley.
She is survived by a daughter, Jesse (Deb) Caudill of New York; a son-in-law, Earl Manley of New Carlisle; two grandchildren, Ray Gray of Florida and Hope Manley of Troy; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Lillie (Jim) Wright of Tipp City, Judy (Jim) Krohe of Dayton; two brothers, Bill Johnson of Middletown and James (Bess) Johnson of Huber Heights; and by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday (4/2) at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. Tom Shearer at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday at St. Henry Catholic Church, 6696 Springboro Pike. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Kidney Foundation, 211 South Main St., Dayton, Ohio 45402.
