Mary Ann Holmes

Mary Ann Holmes, age 66 of Huber Heights, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 18, 2017 at Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born on September 1, 1950 in Forest City, Arkansas and was a blessing to her family.

Mary Ann confessed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, at an early age and continued throughout her life believing and trusting in the Lord. Mary Ann had a strong faith that she could overcome whatever she faced in life, even cancer. Mary Ann devoted her life to caring for her mother and father, and was a sweet and forgiving person. She loved her family and often would do little things just to bring joy to their life or just because.

Mary Ann graduated high school in Kaiserslautern, Germany. She worked for almost 37 years as an Administrator at the National Air and Space Intel Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, most of which was spent with NASIC/ACY.

Mary was preceded in death by her grandparents George Griggs and Mattie Watson. She leaves to cherish her memory her parents, Robert and Mary Still; four brothers, Robert (Sheryl) Still, Gregory (Natalie) Still and Dwight Still, all from Dayton, and Rowland (Sharon) Still of Alabama; two sisters, Sherry (Michael) Cox of Alabama and Barbara (Marvin) Listenbee of Michigan; a special sister in law, Reverend Doctor Camille Still; special friends Rita Bratcher, Deloris "Bonnie" Jones; nieces and nephews Shawn (Natieya) Still, Bryan (Charity) Still, Jordan, Jarrod, and Omni Cox, Natasha, Felicia and Shiquilia Still and Lyntia, Sierra and Kayla Still; and a host of great nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 24, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home and Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, OH 45424. Family will receive guests from 10:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am with the Rev. Dr. Camille Still officiating. Final resting place will be at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 8200 National Road, New Carlisle, OH.
