Mary Ellen Hill

Mary Ellen Hill, age 97 of Tipp City, passed away April 11, 2018. She was born October 7, 1920 in Williamsburg, KY to the late Thomas and Lillie Powell. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, James Hill; sons: James and Edward Hill; daughter, Betty L. Goosman; brothers: Thomas and Tipton Powell; sisters: Easter Mae McNew and Betty Reagan; and son-in-law, Roy Goosman.

Mary is survived by her children: Mary Jean (Russ) Bennett, Carolyn (Thomas) Francis, M. Richard (Cynthia) Hill and Frances E. Hill; daughters-in-law: Judy and Mary Hill; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mary was an avid reader and enjoyed quilting.

Visitation will be held from 9-10 am on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will be held at 10:00 am. Burial to follow at Maple Hill Cemetery, Tipp City. To send a special message to the family, please click on Share Memories.
